Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 55 lbs
This infection started as a small patch on his nose a few months ago before I went to college and now it spread down his snout and in his ear, and there is also a little under his eye. My parents told me they've been rubbing all kinds of creams on him, which might have contributed to it's worsening. I finally convinced my parents to take him to a vet soon, but I would like a second opinion on a diagnosis. I would also appreciate any suggestions on how to treat this. Thank you for your time.

Hi. Goodness, Whiskeys skin isn't looking good. This could be a deep pyoderma, immune mediated disease, allergic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, and many more. It needs strong antibiotics and a skin culture. If that test and treatment doesn't clear it, you'll need a skin biopsy to look into immune mediated conditions. I would also recommend lab work too.
