My stray cat has an abscess, is thin, won't let me help. What to do?

One of a stray cat in my locality got cat abscess.. After that i applied some medicine on it.. But the thing is not exactly healing.. Its spreading to a different position.. And one more thing is that we give him food on a daily basis.. But still he is so thin.. Its very pathetic to see.. We tried to take him to the vet..we tried to give him medicines.. But he always run away.. What should i do

I would recommend you contact your local charities to source a cage cage which you can trap him with. He requires a full examination and antibiotics and should also be tested for FELV/FIV as he may have a weakened immune system also
