Why is my dog's rear leg dangling and not bearing weight after play?

i was playing fetch with my 2 year old boxer and everything was normal. he came inside and laid down.after a few minutes he got up and hasnt put any pressure on his rear leg since. it just dangles their. Pet's info: Dog | Boxer | Male | neutered | 2 years and 5 months old | 70 lbs

I would recommend bringing Thor to a veterinarian tomorrow when they open. I am concerned that Thor may have torn the cranial cruciate ligament or had some other soft tissue injury. At the veterinarian they can do a physical examination and X-rays to see if this is possibly what has happened. They can also dispense medication to help relieve some inflammation and pain.
