I just dewormed my new kitten. How long to keep her from my other cat?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 2 lbs

I rescued a kitten from pound. They had me give the second dose of dewormer to her as soon as I got her home. I have kept her in room all to herself away from my other cat. How long do I have to keep her away from the other cat?

Dewormers generally work pretty quickly, I would recommend keeping them away for at least a week. There are several respiratory infections cats can carrier and infections can spread quickly between cats especially from a shelter. That 7 day period will give you time to schedule an appointment at the vet to make sure the kitten is healthy and make sure there is a feline leukemia and aids done to make sure she is negative.
