Pet's info: Cat | Ragdoll | Female | spayed | 10 years and 1 month old | 14 lbs
My cat has not been herself for the last couple of days - yowling very loudly through the night. still eating and drinking water maybe drinking slightly more than usual. her gums and rims of her eyes look a little pale. She is a little lethargic although is generally quite a lazy cat. she is 10 years old and a ragdoll weighing around 6kg. should i take her to the vet or see if she improves over the next 24 hours.

Older cats can experience an over active thyroid that can make then walk around vocalizing and change their water intake. They can also experience high blood pressure and a form of dementia that can cause wandering with vocalization. With these symptoms and her age, I would take her for blood work and exam. They can evaluate her health and check her kidneys, thyroid and blood pressure and prescribe what medicine is needed.
