Do vets check and treat kittens for worms during standard exams?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Took 4 kittens that I believed had worms to the vet. I was not able to go back with them at the vet office, so I did not tell the vet that I suspected they had worms. When I returned to pick them up, I did not see the vet and the woman at the front desk did not say anything to me except that they had been given a routine exam, Felo shots and they would need boosters in 2/3 weeks. Do vets check/treat for worms as part of the standard exam? It has been 12 hours and have not seen much improvement.

All clinics are different it usually puppies and kittens will have a parasite check or be routinely dewormers as part of the visit for vaccines. 12 hours is a little soon to see improvement but I would get them rechecked if no improvement after 24-48 hours
