My Pomeranian is throwing up and won't eat. Should I give aspirin?

Pet's info: Dog | Pomeranian | Male | neutered | 2 years and 2 months old | 8 lbs

Hi I have a 2 year old Pomeranian who threw up last night, stopped until he came back from his walk at around 5pm today and threw up what’s in the picture. This has never happened before. What should I do?! Should I give him aspirin?! And he hasn’t eaten at all today; no appetite.

I definitely would not give Sawyer aspirin. Aspirin at certain dosages are toxic to dogs and it can also upset the stomach more then what his stomach is now. The vomit looks like foam and possibly food. It is hard to say definitively without actually being there to look at the vomit. If we still have no appetite and vomiting I recommend going to a veterinarian. Here they can make sure there is no obstruction, no pancreatitis, provide fluid support and give medication that can stop the vomiting and make Sawyer feel much better. I hope Sawyer feels better soon and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!
