Peanut m&ms have very little Chocolate, But it really depends on how many he ate. Please post again as a priority question with how many he are so we can calculate if it is a risk. Otherwise call your local emergency clinic with this information and they will calculate his risk. Best of luck and I hope he does ok.

Hi there. We would need to know how much your dog weighs, and approximately how many M&Ms he ate in order to be able to advise you on whether this is dangerous or not. Please post again with more information - we would be happy to try and help.

Dogs will be dogs! Fortunately for Kira a lot of that candy is peanut rather than chocolate, and the chocolate itself is the least toxic type. You are most likely going to see some vomiting and diarrhea (the peanuts aren't going to help either) but unlikely to see any of the very serious side effects of chocolate toxicity. You still may want to take her to the vet though to get her some mediation to make her feel better. She's is likely nauseas and going to be dehydrated from this ordeal. Continue to monitor closely for any trembling or increased strength or heart beat.

While it was naughty of Zeus to eat a peanut m&m, there is not enough chocolate in one to cause any problems at all. There is nothing you need to do for him, nor do you have to take him into the vet. He will be fine :-)
