Why is my cat lethargic, not eating, and has worms on his anus?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 10 lbs

My cat is about 1 year old male not neauterd he been not eating alot or drinking alot for 3 months now i notice small worm like things on his anus i told the various vets ive taken him to but they all said he dosent have worms and that all he has is a hairball stuck in his stomach ive given him all the medication ive been given for him i even bough him a de wormer and still no luck for the past few days he dosent move at all unless he hungry or thirsty when he walks he looks like if his dizzy

I would recommend taking Toby to another veterinarian if you are not comfortable with your veterinarian's diagnosis and treatment. If the stuff that is stuck to his anus looks like little bits of rice it could be tapeworms. Only certain dewormers will help with these worms. So it depends on what dewormer was given to say if it worked or not. Also tapeworms are caused by them eating fleas at some point. I would talk with friends and neighbors to see what veterinarians in your area people recommend. I hope Toby feels better soon and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!
