My cat has a pussy, pink bump on its chin. Could it be from fleas?

My cat has a pussy chin and it started as a little pimple type thing but now it’s turned into a big bump and it’s just below the lip and it’s all pussy and bright pink I don’t know what to do can you help?? It has happend twice before, we haven’t done anything due to expenses but I was wondering if you could tell me what the problem is and what I need to do to help him get better, if it does help he does have fleas but we don’t want to treat him till we know what’s wrong with him first. It is possible this may be related to inflammation such as from a flea allergy so i recommend treating with a flea medication such as comfortis as soon as possible. Prescription antiinflammatory medications from your vet may also be required
