Dog's paws got baby wipes on them. How to clean safely after neuter?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Border Collie | Male | neutered | 1 year old | 31.5 lbs

My boyfriend thought it would be a good idea to clean our dog's paws with baby wipes (with propylene glycol)... I'm pretty upset at him. I frantically cleaned it off with water, but would that suffice?? What should I do to completely clean it off my dog's paws so he does not get poisoning??? :( PS, cannot bathe my dog because he just got neutered. Would love a response back asap, thank you!!!

Washing in a bucket (or bowl) with mild soap should be just fine. The small amount in a baby wipe would be unlikely to cause any problems, but probably a good idea to wash the feet. Hope this helps and thank you for using Pet Coach.
