Hi I have five cats that have a cold that started in the past week. I started giving them all natural chicken broth yesterday and it's keeping them eating. What else can I do for them can I get them any cold medicine without going to a vet? I also have a week old kitten can it die if he catches this cold? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 1 month old | 10 lbs

There is nothing OTC that you can safely give them. It is important to keep them eating and as stress free as possible. Time in a steamed bathroom can loosen chest congestion if necessary. A respiratory infection can be quite serious in such a young kitten. Keep the kitten separate from the others if possible. Ideally, they should be examined by your veterinarian and placed on antibiotics if indicated.
