My kitten is fixed but still meows all the time. What can I do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 8 months and 19 days old | 7 lbs

I have gotten my kitten fixed, but he STILL meows constantly. He has food, water, toys, clean litter box, attention; anything he could want. I have no idea what is causing him to meow, but I can't handle it anymore. He meows all day & all night. Pls help.

Hi there and thank you for using Pet Coach to address your concern! This is likely behavioral and may resolve on its own with time. I would recommend starting by using Feliway products to help calm him. There is a Feliway spray and diffuser that I would recommend using. This product contains a pheromone that helps make cats feel more secure and they typically do calm down. If he hears other cats outside this may make him more prone to meowing incessantly. Interactive toys may help as well. There are automatic laser toys that shine a laser on the ground and this keeps some cats busy for hours. I would start with this approach first and if no improvement, please post another question regarding the Feliway products not working as any of us experts here would be more than happy to answer more of your questions you may have. I hope this works for Phoebe! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. You can also try NaturVet Quiet Moments calming aid cat treats, which you can find online quite easily.
