Can I give my dog Rimadyl, Gabapentin, Methocarbamol at once?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | German Shorthaired Pointer (duplicate) | Male | neutered | 73 lbs

My 8 year old German Pointer is having lower back problems. His vet probably thinks it is a disc problem. He has muscle spasms and pain. He walks fine and has no problem with kidney function or bowels. He is eating well . He responds to medicine treatment very well. His vet prescribed rimadyl and gabapentin. She added in methocarbonal for muscle spasm. I can't reach my vet by phone and the instructions with medicines were not clear. Is it okay to give him all 3 together at same time

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I’m sorry to hear Soda has been having back problems, but I’m glad to hear the medications are helping make him more comfortable. It is fine to give all three together, ideally with food to ensure they don’t upset his stomach.
