Great question! A bland diet would be something that is easily digestible and not too heavy in a cat's stomach. Boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and Hill's A/D are both examples of bland diets. I hope this helps!

A bland diet can be made by mixing plain white rice (cooked) with equal amounts of boiled boneless/skinless chicken breasts. You can also use plain turkey or plain chicken baby food. Make sure there is no garlic or onion in the baby food. Feed in small, frequent amounts until the stool is normal then transition slowly back to the regular diet.

So Artemis was deemed fine. The vet suggested an xray but we have no money to do that until the insurance kicks in. So for now, the vet suggested monitoring her poops and, in case it was just diarrhea, feeding her a bland diet, he suggested baby food

As long as he's not vomiting and is acting fine and drinking water, you can try a bland diet. I recommend either boiled chicken, scrambled eggs, or low fat cottage cheese. If that doesn't help to improve his diarrhea or you notice vomiting, lethargy, etc. he should be seen by a veterinarian.

It sounds like Angelica has diarrhea. Feed her a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. If the diarrhea continues on the bland diet, she vomits the bland diet, she refuses to eat the bland diet, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet right away.

Hello, sorry to hear about Mo. You can allow his GI tract to rest by removing food overnight and then starting a bland diet (plain white rice, skinless and boneless boiled chicken) for 3-5 days. If Mo develops any vomiting, diarrhea, or a decreased appetite, then he should be evaluated immediately by your veterinarian. Potential causes for this included a dietary indiscretion, ingestion of foreign material, inflammation of the bowel, pancreatitis, and less likely liver or kidney disease. Withhold food for 8 hours then offer her boiled boneless chicken and rice every 6 hours in small portions. if she is eating and not vomiting, continue with this diet for 2 days. After 2 days, you can put her back gradually on her normal food. If she continues having diarrhea, take her to the vet to get treatment.

Hi and thank your for your question on Boop by Petco! I am sorry to hear Merlin was diagnosed with gastritis.It is common for cats with gastritis to be on and off their food for a few days. You may try offering his a bland diet of boiled chicken, rice, and plain canned pumpkin (not pie filling) for a few days and see if he will eat a little of that. My cat milo has a very sensitive stomach....I'm just wondering what is the best food to feed him on?
I would recommend easily digestible and hypoallergenic foods such as Royal Canin hypoallergenic hydrolyzed protein, California natural by Natura (Innova), Iams limited ingredient, or Hill's Z/D. Milo may have an inflammatory bowel disease, especially if he vomits often. The best option would be a GI specific formula made for sensitive stomachs. You can look at science diet I/D or Purina EN. Royal canin has good hypoallergenic diets that can also help with GI issues. These all come in dry or canned if needed
