You may see symptoms such as an increase in thirst and/or urination, bloody urine, foul smelling urine, difficulty urinating or excessive licking of the genitals. The definitive way is to have Blue examined by your veterinarian. A sterile urine sample can be collected and submitted for urinalysis and urine culture. Treatment is usually with antibiotics.
