My dog's back legs are red, itchy, and dry for 3 weeks. What's wrong?

Hello I was concerned about this that has been on my dogs back legs for almost 3 weeks , she has itching it biting on it . When it first appeared on her back legs it was real red now it’s dry looking so I guess it’s healing . She is a Shetland sheepdog her age is 8 . This is her first time getting this .

It looks like she could have a skin infection and/or an allergic dermatitis. You could clean the area with a wound wash and see if it continues to improve. Otherwise, she should be examined by a vet for treatment. She may need an antibiotic, antihistamine, or a corticosteroid to help treat.
