Cat throwing up, hairball suspected. Is coconut oil safe? What to do?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 7 years and 8 months old

My cat has thrown up three times today the first two times it was food the most resent time it was just clear liquid I think that he has a hairball stuck he has been acting normal other than that i've played with him and he's drank water i've heard that coconut oil will help can it? I don't have access to a vet right now so what do i do

Absolutely NOT on the coconut oil. That could cause worse issues like pancreatitis and/or diarrhea. Please keep in mind that many different things can cause vomiting in cats so Tigger may or may not have hairballs. I strongly recommend you get him to a vet for an exam. In the meantime you can try a hairball remedy that you can buy over the counter like this one: https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/tomlyn-laxatone-tuna-flavored-hairball-lubricant Use as directed on the package.
