Can I give my dog Children's Benadryl for bumps and bleeding?

My dog is breaking out into bumps and there busing and bleeding I thought it had to do with his food so I changed his food it's kind of clearing up a little bit but the bumps are busing and bleeding someone told me I can give him Children's Benadryl. Pet's info: Dog | Staffordshire Bull Terrier | Male | unneutered | 8 months and 8 days old | 45 lbs

Hello, benadryl will definitely treat an allergic reaction, however, if your dog is also bruising and bleeding then that is not a characteristic of an allergic reaction that could be treated with just benadryl. I would recommend having him evaluated for this bruising and bleeding as benadryl will likely note treat this on its own. Hope this helps and best of luck!!!
