Poor Lily sounds quite ill at the moment! I would be concerned that she is vomiting water if her throw is clear liquid, and in a senior dog, that can quickly lead to dehydration. I know it's Monday in Australia, so I would take her into a vet today. She may need a shot to stop the vomiting, and IV fluids for hydration. The vet can also diagnose the cause of the vomiting, which can include severe GI illness, eating something rotten, pancreatitis, or something more serious such as organ failure or cancer. Hi my female dog named Lily has been throwing up atleast 2-3 times a day and the food is undigested and is accompanied by a clear liquid . She is 2 and a half years old .
It sounds as Lilly is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better. if the vet thinks it is more serious she will need a blood test and possibly an ultrasound in order to find out what is wrong.

Poor Lily! It is a little concerning that she is vomiting, and eating grass can be a sign of nausea in dogs. Unfortunately given her young age and the fact that she isn't fully vaccinated, there is always a chance it could be something worse causing her vomiting. I'm not sure how many times she has vomited, but to be safe, I think having her seen by a vet today would be best. The vet can diagnose the cause of her vomiting, and can treat her for it. Vomiting can be observed with conditions such as gastroenteritis, pancreatitis, dietary indiscretion, gastrointestinal foreign body ingestion and obstruction, among other possibilities. For this reason, I highly recommend that you have Lacy evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment as soon as possible as I am afraid she is likely becoming dehydrated. They would be able to check for these possibilities and also check her hydration status and give her medications to make her feel better. Good luck!

Poor Lily. Vomiting streaks of blood is a medical emergency ,and she could have a foreign body, damage to her stomach or esophagus, GI ulcers, or may have eaten something toxic. You need to take her into a vet immediately.

Lilly needs to be examined by the veterinarian. While infections can cause vomiting, other common reasons are intestinal blockages, toxin ingestion, kidney disease...etc. In an older female dog who is not spayed, a condition called a pyometra (which can be fatal) is also a concern. Lilly sounds like she is very sick and I recommend to have her examined today for correct diagnosis and appropriate treatment. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Poor Honey! Be sure that you know if she is vomiting (belly goes in and out) versus regurgitation (burps up fluid) versus a cough with a terminal retch (cough is first followed by a gag of fluid). I don't know how old Honey is but she only weighs 5 lbs and that means if she is truly vomiting then she could get dehydrated quickly. If the vomiting is non-stop she should be taken to your Vet if open or an emergency hospital. If it has been a couple of times remove all water and food. Do not offer water for 4-6 hours of no vomiting and offer small amounts and ice chips. Do not offer food until 12-24 hours of no vomiting and offer it as a bland diet of boiled chicken or hamburger with rice. Feed 1 cup per 20 lbs per day as small frequent meals. If she continues to vomit while fasted or once she starts eating she needs to see a Vet. Causes of vomiting are: intestinal parasites, foreign body (something is stuck and needs surgery to remove), dietary indis

Our 7 month old malamute won't stop vomiting today. It is clear liquid. He is drooling like crazy and appears lethargic. Vomits water. He ate his dinner. Should he be seen tonight or do we take away his water and recheck tomorrow?
Vomiting is a very vague sign and could indicates several different things going on. Some of the more common causes of vomiting include intestinal parasites, gastritis (inflammation of the stomach wall), pancreatitis, dietary indiscretion, or a foreign body/blockage. I would also worry about Parvo if Silap hasn't been fully vaccinated. Withhold any food for now but you can offer him small amounts of water as long as he is able to keep it down. I would recommend taking him to the vet. He may be dehydrated and need fluids as well as some antinausea medication to help stop the vomiting.

Throwing up can have many causes. It is basically a problem with the stomach and intestines caused by a food over sensitivity, eating something that does not agree with the dog, intestinal parasites, bacterial infection, viral infection, the weather, food change, stress, etc.  I would fast Phoebe for 12 hours and then put her on bland food for two days, such as boiled white rice and boiled white boneless chicken meat, fed in small quantities over several feeds and then transition back to her regular food slowly over a few days. If the vomiting increases, or if she gets lethargic, she needs to see a veterinarian for an exam as there may be something more serious such as an infection going on.

Hello, sorry to hear about Vanilla. If she is done this once or twice, you should remove any food for the rest of the day and start her on a bland diet later on. This can be composed of plain white rice, skinless and boneless chicken, and low fat cottage cheese. If this does not improve her vomiting, or if she vomits more than 4 times in one day then Vanilla should be seen by a veterinarian today. This could be caused by a large number of things but in older dogs, inflammation of the intestines, a dietary indiscretion, liver disease, kidney disease, pancreatitis, or even some form of infection could cause vomiting in a dog.
