My dog whines loudly when left alone. How can I stop this behavior?

My dog brownie is a really stubborn dog. We had adopted her from the streets about 7 months ago. She had some adjustment issues at first but now she loves us and we love her. But both of us need to leave home at times for work and other chores and her alone at home. We have two other dogs as well who aren't as old as brownie and not as energetic so she needs to be kept in a separate room. But everytime we leave she whines a lot and makes a great deal of noise. A lot of this will take time for her to understand you will keep coming back. You can also make sure to leave a shirt or something with your scent to help provide comfort. You can try a white noise machine or music to leave on to help. In extreme cases you can talk to your vet about anxiety medicines
