My Aussie eats her poop. Is it her food or how can I stop it?

My 1 year old Australian Shepherd eats her feces. Someone told me she needs more protein. Which brand of dog food would be best? She eats Drs Foster & Smith Puppy chicken & rice now. Pet's info: Dog | Australian Shepherd - miniature | Female | spayed | 1 year and 2 months old | 25 lbs

This is not a lack of protein or diet related. some dogs just like doing it or do it to clean up. The best you can do is clean it up at soon as it happens to minimize the behavior. they make a product called Forbid that you can mix with her food and this stops her from doing it
