Why is my cat's bald patch red and irritated? Is it infected?

Pet's info: Cat | British Shorthair | Female | spayed | 10 years and 1 month old | 11 lbs

Attached pictures- my cat has a patch of fur missing and her exposed skin is very red, is it an infection? She’s not on any medication currently. It’s been her bald patch has been like this for a week and only recently did her skin become red

It looks like Roxy has a small area of a skin infection. I recommend bringing her to a veterinarian. Here they can dispense antibiotics and potentially medication to help her stop licking or scratching (if she is).
