Is my Great Dane puppy's food okay? HOD signs & prevention?

what should i feed a 13 week old great dane? right now i have her on pedigree puppy chow large breed. is that ok? i heard somewhere that they can get HOD im scared to death. what are the signs how would i know she has it? Pet's info: Dog | Great Dane | Female | unspayed | 33 lbs

There is no strict consensus on the best food for giant breed puppies. I suggest either large breed puppy or a Maintenance dog food that says it is formulated for all life stages. We do not recommend giving any supplements at this age. HOD is definitely a very painful and scary disease process, but not real common. I have only had 1 case in the last 10 years.
