our female cat has started laying flat on her tummy with her rear raised. She is making loud purring noises but is also walking around yowling. Any advise please? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed

It sounds like Bonnie is in heat! The behavior you describe is typical when a cat is in heat and is looking to mate. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do to stop this behavior, it will stop when she is no longer in heat. Keep in mind she will cycle again, and in the fall and spring is when cats cycle the most frequently. Cats in heat are very annoying, so if you don't like this behavior and don't want to deal with kittens, I recommend having her spayed. I hope this helps!
