My kitten's skin sores aren't healing after ringworm & antibiotics. Help!

Hello, I have a 4 week old male kitten that has white crusted soars on his skin. He was recently diagnosed with ring worm which has been treated for a week but his sores are still there. The vet thought his sores looked like a bacterial infection and gave him an antibiotic shot. I don’t really see any improvement after a week. What should I do?

If catfish has only received injectable antibiotics I would also treat using topical medications or shampoos. I recommend using a shampoo such as Douxo PS chlorhexidine combination shampoo and bathe twice weekly until the infection is resolved. Also recommend using a spray such as malacetic conditioning spray and apply to the area until resolved. Does not help then you may need to try a different antibiotic. I hope this helps! Please feel free to contact me with any other questions you may have.
