I give my chiweenie kibbles and bits for small breeds , Bannanas and sausages to eat is this a good dog food and are people foods ok as well? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | 4 years and 2 months old

Kibbles and Bits is considered a "grocery" brand food, and while nutritionally balanced, may not be the highest quality compared to some other brands. However, most all commercial dog foods need to meet a set of AAFCO standards to be on the market, and checking for an AAFCO statement on the bag can help you determine if it meets these standards. People food should be limited as dogs cannot digest or handle all of the items we eat. Some foods may cause digestive upset if they are too high in fat or contain toxic ingredients. Bananas and small pieces of sausage/hotdog, however, should be OK in moderation (small amounts!). Dog kibble can also be used hidden inside chew toys or other objects as a treat incentive without causing issues.
