My dog threw up undigested food after car sickness. What does it mean?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 1 year and 9 months old | 50 lbs

I have a 50lb mixed breed dog. We feed hr 1 cup dry food at 6:30am, and then give her a kong with approx 1/4 cup dryfood and 1 tbsp peanut butter before putting her in her crate. she is the crate for about 3.5 hours before being released. No other food until 5:30pm. Today after running around at the dog park she vomitted in the car and what she brought up looked like just about everything she had been fed, undigested. She get motion sickness in the car, but should there have been undigested food

I wouldn't worry overly about the fact it was not digested. Dog kibble can take a while to break down as the kibble needs a lot of moisture. Asong as it was a one off event and she does not continue being sick I would not worry.
