Pet's info: Cat | British Shorthair | Female | spayed
My 1 year old cat injured her tail. I'm not even sure how it happened but she was under the bed and I heard loud screech. Her tail was limp and she couldn't find a place to sit. The followihg day we took her to the vet. She was examines and the vet said that the tail is not broken. She was given anti-inflammatory medication. She has been taking it for three days now. She is now able to lift her tail almost all the way up. However, she has no feeling at the tip (4 inches).Would this be parmanent?

The loss of feeling in the tip of the tail may be permanent if there was some damage to the nerves but it should not affect her overtly. If there was nerve damage that could still resolve over time once the inflammation decreases. I would not be too concerned about it after just three days as long as the tissue looks healthy (no wounds, no odor, no discoloration). Hope this helps. If you have more questions feel free to post again.
