I have a 7 week old puppy they was feeling really sick yesterday. She would walk around gaging and dry heaving. She almost vomited twice but refused to actually vomit. I'm not sure why she didn't want to but I knew it would make her feel better. She now has a bloated stomach and I'm not sure if they are related. Can you tell me why she refused to vomit and why she is bloated now

So cute! She could have a parasite, infection, or an upset stomach from something she ate. You could take a stool sample to her vet and have it tested for parasites and then your vet can prescribe an appropriate dewormer based on the results. You could also add a probiotic to her diet and see if that helps, too.

Hello and welcome to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Puppies can get dehydrated and very weak and sick very quickly if they are vomiting. Vomiting can be caused by something stuck in the stomach, or eating something that has just upset the stomach, or viruses that upset the stomach. I would strongly recommend having Kingston seen by a vet right away (emergency clinic if your vet is not available), as vomiting sick puppies can get very very sick and die quite quickly if not treated. Best of luck with Kingston!

At 7 months old June can become dehydrated quickly. If she continue vomiting she needs to see a vet. Or is she develops diarrhea with it. Puppies are very susceptible to parvo virus. Withhold food for 6 hours and try to encourage her to drink. If she continues to vomit get her to a vet
