Why is my 7-week puppy sick, dry heaving, won't vomit, and bloated?

I have a 7 week old puppy they was feeling really sick yesterday. She would walk around gaging and dry heaving. She almost vomited twice but refused to actually vomit. I'm not sure why she didn't want to but I knew it would make her feel better. She now has a bloated stomach and I'm not sure if they are related. Can you tell me why she refused to vomit and why she is bloated now. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 1 month and 27 days old | 3.5 lbs

So cute! She could have a parasite, infection, or an upset stomach from something she ate. You could take a stool sample to her vet and have it tested for parasites and then your vet can prescribe an appropriate dewormer based on the results. You could also add a probiotic to her diet and see if that helps, too.
