My cat is walking in circles and falling after Onsior. Is it serious?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed | 1 year old | 6 lbs

My cat was given Onsior for pain last night and soon after he started to walk in circles. Now he falls over when he walks and his eyes flick back and forth. Will this wear off or is it something serious?

Hi and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Sorry to hear about Chewy. I would immediately contact the veterinarian that was treating Chewy. This is probably not related to the Onsior but related to whatever he had going on. This sounds like some sort of vestibular problem or a neurologic problem. There are many causes of this so it's important to have your vet follow up with Chewy and re-evaluate her. This would be a very rare and unexpected side effect from Onsior. Please contact your vet immediately. Good luck with Chewy.
