My dog's ears are itchy with gunk. Is it allergies or an infection?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | spayed | 15 lbs

My dog is scratching and has stuff on her ears. What can I do to get rid of it. I have gone to vet in past and they said it was some kind of allergy.

Hi. Poor misty. It appears she has an infection in those ears. It would need a full exam and cytology to know for sure. Ear infections most times are secondary to allergies. I'd recommend talking to your veterinarian about starting an allergy treatment while treating the infection.
