hi! my cat went out and i think he got bitten by another cat or dog on his front leg above his paw area (there’s no other wild animals around so i’m guessing it was another cat or a dog) he’s not bleeding but he walks on a limp, he’s apparently not in too much pain cuz he uses his paw to clean his face and he sleeps on his side (the injured leg side) he’s eating and drinking just fine is there anything i can do to help him so he can recover faster? should i clean the bite with something? thanks

You can clean the wound with mild soap and water. You will likely need to see a vet for antibiotics. As an abscess heals, it often traps bacteria and causes a recurring abscess. The cycle is repeated until the infection is cleared
