My dog just got spayed. How soon can I feed her after surgery?

My dog just got spayed, how many hours do I have to wait for me to feed her?

I recommend to wait 6-8 hours after the time of the procedure. Also only feed half the amount. If she eats it all and acts like she's still hungry, wait an hour to feed the rest. Also, don't worry if Lexi doesn't eat tonight. Many times they are too tired and out of it. Hope you have a good evening.

    If Skye just got spayed, don't be surprised if her appetite is low or gone the night after surgery. That can be normal. Offer her a small meal at dinnertime, and then offer her her normal meal in the morning. She should be fed twice a day, morning and evening. Best of luck.
