Why does my dog have runny poop after car rides? Excitement or stress?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 1 year and 4 months old

my dog is a bull mastiff and he has been fixed, he is 15 months old, he loves going in the car, but when he is out of the car and walking around he has very very runny poos, I have tried using adaptil spray but that has no effect, what could be causing his runny poos.

If the runny stool is only occurring after a car ride, its likely the excitement causing it. This is not unusual and is nothing to worry about. If the stool is consistently runny, then take Bronson into the veterinarian to have a sample checked for parasites. Runny stool can be caused by many different things! I hope this helps and please post again if you have any other questions!
