My dog only eats chicken legs. Is this diet healthy and balanced?

Hi, my wife's sister has a mini Yorkshire terrier and feeds it two cooked chicken legs per day. He barely touches the dry dog food and I say this is very bad for him. Am I wrong?

You are correct. This is not a healthy or balanced diet for any dog. As long as table food is offered, Masia will choose that over dog food every time. Discontinue feeding anything except dog food. A bit of canned food or baby food can be mixed in to stimulate her appetite. Begin a consistent schedule for feeding. Prepare Masia's food and leave it down for 20-30 minutes before picking it up whether she has eaten or not. Repeat this at the next scheduled mealtime. Do not feed anything else in between meals. She will not starve, she will eat when she is hungry and when food is resented. Be firm and patient. This is better for Masia in the long run.
