Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | neutered | 12 years and 10 months old | 32 lbs
Good morning, I have a white GSD weighing around 32kg. He has arthritis in his right hip and has had this for about 4 years. My vet prescribed Loxicom and Yumove up untill recently. Over the last year he has been throwing up a lot mainly at night and seems to cough during the day. Vet changedmedication to troxcol (slow releasing med each month) but that does not seem to be working. Other then the arthritis Max seems to be in good health and a happy dog which I do not believe to be in too m

Hi there and thank you for using pet coach! If Max has been on antiinflammatories for a while now, I would recommend having his blood tested annually to make sure the medications are not causing damage to the liver or kidneys. With max being the age he is I would recommend annual blood work anyway even if he was not on medication so that any changes can be detected early. Switching to a bland diet for sensitive stomachs may also help. Purina has a probiotics called Fortiflora which may aid in digestion so I would also consider adding this in with his food. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help further.
