Hi. Found a RED, 1/4" X 1/2" ROSEBUD shaped growth ((soft and spongy) growth on my 17 yr old (male) cat this morning. What might it be?

Poor Sinbad! 17 years old! IMPRESSIVE! This mass could be a benign age "wart" (aka adenoma) or it could be something more serious like a mast cell tumor. I would have your vet take a quick look at it. Your vet may need to take a small sample of it to look at a few cells under the microscope to see whether or not it is benign. If it is benign, your vet will likely recommend you to just watch it for any changes or growth. If it is cancerous, they will likely recommend surgical removal as long as he is healthy for sedation. I hope this helps!
