My dog lunges at certain people on walks. How can I train him?

I just want to improve my dog not to lunge while on walk necause he lunge at other but not everyone but few peoples only i also try to make him sit then he sit and as soon as person passes by he tries to lunge so how i make him understand that he don't have to lunge because i also want to adopt anither gsd but if he behave like tbis i dont think that i can adopt any other dog and i can think of planning my baby with my wife.
