My senior dog has diarrhea & bad smells on wet food. What to do?

Hello!My dog is on wet diet since 2 months; as he is old and having troubles with swallowing his food down.We give him canned Pedigree&other wet food.However,he has very often diarrhea and makes terrible smells, especially in the evening.Could it be caused by the wet food?Thank you in advance for your help! Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Male | neutered | 14 years old | 25 lbs

It is unlikely that the wet food is causing the diarrhea. Especially if the wet food has been fed for many years. With Samwise being so old I would recommend taking him to a vet to see what is going on. Chronic inflammation and even neoplasia can cause horrible diarrhea. A vet visit with some blood work and x-rays should be done. hope she feels better
