My dwarf hamster fell. Why are his back legs curled and not moving?

Dwarf Hamster, got out of cage Fri night, fell from desk to chair then floor. Got stuck beside wardrobe at back so used a pole to slide unto him so he could get his legs up to craw out. Seemed fine was running & eating after. Didn't see him Sun, Mon pm, he wasn't walking right with back legs and lower back is curled. He's hardly moving, put food & water next to him. Could this be bruising or swelling from being stuck or has he broken something in fall? Also could he have done it through stress?

Poor chip. It is hard to say what is causing the abnormal activity with out examining him. I would recommend taking him to a vet for a good exam to determine if he has a fracture or soft tissue injury. The vet can provide pain control which will keep him more comfortable. hope that helps
