Is my 20-pound cat overweight? How can I tell and what should I do?

My cat weighs about 20 pounds maybe a little less, he's healthy, lovable, eats, and sleeps (a lot) I just want to make sure he's actually heathy and not overweight or anything. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 2 years and 3 months old | 20 lbs

It is concerning that Felix is almost 20lbs. He definitely needs to lose weight. You can start by limiting the amount of food being offered and switching him to a weight loss food gradually. Another thing is to keep him active. A laser pointer is a great way to keep cats active. Heavy cats are prone to different diseases. One big one is diabetes.
