Pet's info: Small Animal | Rabbit | Female | unspayed | 3 months and 16 days old

Hello, ive noticed that my rabbit is missing patches of fur on her stomach and back legs. She had a companion but after i noticed her how she is slowly losing hair, i took him away just in case he can get whatever she has too. She is acting like normal and everythings fine. Whats going on with her and what can i do to help?

If the skin looks normal where the hair is missing then it is possible that the other bunny is pulling it out OR Snow White could be self mutilating as well. Also mites and ringworm are common in rabbits as well. I would encourage you to have her evaluated by a veterinarian. In the meantime please practice good hygiene after handling her as ring worm is contagious to people as well. Best of luck and thank you for using Pet Coach.

Oh goodness, she really is losing a lot of fur. I worry that she may have a mite infestation called cheyletiella. Also ring worm is also common. I would encourage you to have her evaluated by your veterinarian soon. A skin scrape will probably be recommended to look for mites. Best of luck and I hope she improves soon.
