Is my kitten sick? What are the signs of illness I should look for?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Himalayan | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 4 days old | 6.6 lbs

Generally I'm a very obssessive protective pet owner, coz I've lost another. I took my kitty to the vet & said nothing's wrong. I'm still worried. She ate better today. What signs should I look in a kitten that shows she's so sick ?

I can understand your concern. Cats can hide illness quite well. But typical signs of illness can include: decreased appetite, lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea, and unusual behavior (like hiding or seeking more attention than normal). If you are still concerned that your kitty may be ill then you can request that your vet do a general health check via bloodwork and urine testing as well. A fecal exam is also indicated if Noushmc is having loose stool. Best wishes and take care.
