My new female betta fish is hiding. Is she stressed or scared?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Fish | Unknown - Fish | Female

So this is my first time owning a baby betta fish (2 females) . The lady that helped me said they would be fine together. I have a white one and a red one. The tank is a perfect size I just have one problem. My red one keeps hiding and I almost never see her. My white one is doing fine! I’m just so scared for my red one I don’t know what to do. I’ve seen them interact but it’s like they are fine...please help.

Make sure there are plenty of plants and other hiding areas for her. She may be more stressed than the other and it may take more time for her to adjust. Also they all have personalities and some are more “outgoing” than others. She may always be more timid. Best of luck and enjoy them!
