What's this red, angry skin lesion on my cat? Is it ringworm?

That does not look like a typical ringworm lesion to me. It is too angry and red. That being said- self trauma can make a lesion look horrible. Skin lesions can be bacterial, fungal, foreign objects, insect bites or secondary to allergies. I would recommend taking Simba in to a veterinarian. They can do an exam and some diagnostics to discover the cause. That lesion could be bacterial. Once they get a diagnosis, they will get him a treatment plan to get him feeling better.
