Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 14 years and 9 months old | 10 lbs
My 14 year old cat chews her mouth like something is stuck on a tooth. This is accompanied by a loud grating/cracking noise. I took her to the vet for this about 6 weeks ago. He couldn't find any problem, but gave her antibiotics. It went away, but started up again today. I have a video.

From your description it sounds like a tooth decay issue. Cats will "chatter" their teeth when they are in pain. Sometimes dental issues are not apparent on a physical exam, but are very obvious on dental x-rays. I would ask your veterinarian if a dental cleaning would be appropriate for Chippy. While she's asleep for her dental cleaning, she could also have x-rays of her skull done if no dental issues are found. To send video, you'll need to set up a consultation, but I honestly don't think it would make a big difference in this situation. Best of luck to you and Chippy!
