Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Dewormer kills worms and it does so very effectively. I recommend that you have Emma evaluated by your veterinarian to start her on a dewormer. Intestinal worms are very easily treatable and usually clinical symptoms resolve.     The deworming product you are using is probably not good enough, you must take Sophie to the vet urgently in order to get her dewormed with a stronger/better product Urgently as this can indeed be fatal if left untreated.

    Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question. Yes, it looks like a roundworm, and yes the Prosense dewormer should help kill them. Give her another course of treatment two weeks after the first to kill all the worms. I hope this helps!
