My dog threw up and I found a worm. Does dewormer kill worms or prevent? Pet's info: Dog | English Mastiff | Female | unspayed | 8 months and 11 days old | 100 lbs

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Dewormer kills worms and it does so very effectively. I recommend that you have Emma evaluated by your veterinarian to start her on a dewormer. Intestinal worms are very easily treatable and usually clinical symptoms resolve.
