This could be from intestinal parasites or dietary related. I would bring a fecal sample in to a veterinarian and have them check for intestinal parasites so that the most appropriate treatment can be given. If the stool is negative for parasites then I would begin a bland diet of chicken and rice until the stool returns to normal and then transition back over a 7 day period to a different dog food such as science diet or royal canin. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

The white jelly, or mucus, can be indicative of inflammation in the colon. If Last is behaving normally otherwise, you can try withholding food for 24 hours. Allow small amounts of water or an unflavored electrolyte replacement beverage. Resume feeding a bland diet in small, frequent amounts until the stool is normal. Afterwards, transition slowly to the regular diet. If the diarrhea doesn't resolve or if she develops other symptoms (lethargy, vomiting, loss of appetite) then she should be examined by your veterinarian.

These signs could be compatible with a colitis, which is an inflammation of the last part of the intestine, the colon, usually related to dietary indiscretion. As a first approach, I would suggest to start feeding with a bland diet based on boiled chicken and rice in small portion every 6 hours for the following 48hours. Then gradually reintroduce the normal diet over 5 days. I would definitely recommend a veterinary check up if the signs persist or you notice vomiting, lethargy or inappetence. It looks like mucous, which is normal in the colon. I would watch Zoe for a day or two. As long as she is eating and drinking and acting otherwise normal, then I would wait at home. If she becomes lethargic or stops eating and drinking, she needs to go to the vet as an urgent medical case.
