Pet's info: Cat | RagaMuffin | Male | neutered | 14 lbs
When I pet my cat on the head lightly he purrs and then lightly taps me on top of my head with his paw. Would you happen to know what it means when he does this? When I stop petting his head he taps me on my head again. Today when I was petting him softly on the head he tapped me three times in a row on the head with his paw. I've had other pet cats in the past that never did this. is it unusual?

It is not unusual for cats to have their own behaviors to show affection or that they would like affection. Be careful about let him always up high as this can be a sign of dominance and he needs to know you are still in charge. When he taps you after you stop, he is likely trying to tell you to continue petting him
